Chris McConnell

Chris McConnell rarely refers to himself in the third person.  He has noticed that very few people can successfully pull off the third person self reference. Shaquille O'Neill is of course the exception to this rule and Chris McConnell once played a game of pickup hoops with Shaq in Los Angeles. Chris thinks he and Shaq got along so well that day because they both grew up in military families.  Chris does not always reveal that he and Shaq were on the losing team together (McConnell claims, "Shaq took way too many three pointers.") Shaq soldiered on to win three NBA championships while Chris went on to a series of jobs around San Diego, including: valet, waiter, bookseller, high school teacher, freelance writer and plumber's assistant.

Chris is currently single and not gay, though he supports the legalization of gay marriage.   He avoids killing insects at all costs, but is not afraid of them.  Chris has been surfing around San Diego since he went to UCSD in the 1990s and thinks he is a better surfer than he really is. Additionally, Chris needs to stop reading so much and learn how to make money.   Because his late Grammy was wise and soulful enough to move to La Jolla in the 1960s, San Diego is one of the few places Chris has called home.
