Hey, the show airs this weekend!

Everyone watch so it stays on the air. I’m getting my family to watch.

Tim on Wizard's First Rule is Now Legend of the Seeker

I’ve been testing and using the Phantom for over a year now and have had the most remarkable results.  I’m a huge fan!  It isn’t like anything else...it needs to be examined…

Jerry Simpson on The Phantom Camera at Comic-Con

I loved the books as well and really hope they run with the story lines and stay true to them.... I hope it will air on my local stations and I’ll have plenty of time to set up the tapes to record…

Twilight Moms

Above: Twilight Moms

As I left the convention last night I saw people lining up with sleeping bags for Hall H. I assumed they were in line for Keanu Reeves, big Hollywood celebrity. Boy was I wrong. I had to go about 20 people back before I found anyone not there for Twilight (and not female).

The first two women (the first people in line period for the first Hall H line of the Con) were Joey Begemen, from Ohio and Penny Goodin, from Virginia. They got in line Wednesday afternoon for the panel on Twilight that would start at 1:15pm in Hall H. Many of the women were strangers when they lined up yesterday but were exchanging email addresses as I left them in line.

Twilight is based on a Stephenie Meyer book about teens and vampires. Goodin, a public school administrator, said the book was initially marketed to teens and young adults but then a group calling themselves Twilight Moms informed the publisher that older women were fans as well.

Nancy Laumann from Maryland said, "It's the perfect thing for moms and daughters to do together." There was one hubby in line who was doing Starbucks runs.

I did ask one practical question: "What happens when you have to go to the bathroom?" The answer: they all have hotel rooms and are friendly enough to hold each others' place in line.

Beth,
Thanks so much for writing about us.  Just want to let you know how this turned out.  We were the first ones to go into Hall H the next morning and got to sit front and center for the forum.  We realized at the time that when the Twilight panel acturally started it marked 24 hours that we had been waiting in line.  So even for the best seats in the house, was it worth spending the night on the sidewalk?  Let me think.... Keanu Reeves, Mark Walberg, Hugh Jackman, ROBERT PATTINSON, and the Twilight cast up close and personal...um, that would be a YES!

Beth, yes I have to say the same thing as Penny- thanks for writing about all of us that were in line so early. I am not sure when this photo was taken or where I was at the time but there were about 5 more of us with this group. It is great seeing friends in this photo- internet friends before ComicCon and now true friends. We had a blast staying outside of Hall H all night. Our seats were FANTASTIC and seeing all those trailers with the cast talking about them made it worth it. Staying awake for over 30 plus hours was defiantly worth seeing Robert Pattinson in person and Hugh Jackman showing up- was just icing on the cake. Great pic!!

Hello Twilight Moms,

Nice to hear from you. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner but I was consumed by the Con.

I saw some of you in primo seats at the panel and I’m glad the long wait was worth it. I was happy to meet you all and I have to say that I was surprised by the popularity of Twilight. Thanks for cluing me in to what it was all about.

I’d love to get your opinions when the film opens to see if it lives up to expectations.

Only 364 days till the next Con!
