Public Art Sculpture: Awe-full or Awful?

Unconditional SurrenderWhat some San Diegans are calling a masterpiece, others say is an ugly eye sore. The truth of the matter is it's a 25-foot, 6,000-pound public art sculpture on display along the downtown waterfront, which mimics the famous photograph of a sailor and a nurse kissing in Times Square on the day World War II ended. The sculpture, Unconditional Surrender, is on loan to the Port of San Diego from the Sculpture Foundation for a year.

What do you think? Is the sculpture awe-full or awful?
